Favorite Fall Traditions

Fall is a perfect time to enjoy some beautiful weather, watch the leaves change colors, spend time with family and friends, go pumpkin searching, carve the pumpkins together, and so much more.

Although fall doesn’t last long, there are endless traditions to do that are always something families and friends look forward to.

Junior Ashley Slife has many things to look forward to when fall comes around. Slife’s favorite activity is getting pumpkins every year and carving them.

“My family and I always go to the pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins to bring back home and carve,” Slife said.

Junior Jaclyn Carske loves this time of year, not only for the weather, but also because of the family time and all the activities that come with it.

“One thing I always look forward to when fall comes is going to Columbus with my cousins to go trick or treating around their development,” Carske said.

This isn’t the only tradition that she finds during the autumn season.

“Another one of my favorite traditions is watching all my favorite Halloween movies on Halloween with my family,” Carske said. “I also love carving pumpkins every year and getting to bake the seeds and eat them,” Carske added.

Sophomore Emma James not only loves Fall for all the traditions but always getting more time to spend with family and friends.

“Some of my favorite Fall traditions include going to the pumpkin patch to pick out new pumpkins to carve, and going on hay rides,” James said. “My favorite Fall tradition is always going to a Halloween party and seeing all the different costumes.”

Senior Cassidy Smith enjoys Fall traditions every year, and enjoys all the Halloween traditions.

“Some of my favorite traditions are watching scary movies or Halloween movies, going to haunted houses, and also going to pumpkin patches,” Smith said.

Junior Rhett McMullen always looks forward to making new Fall traditions every year, but always has one Fall tradition that he looks forward to.

“My favorite Fall tradition is building huge leaf piles with my friends and siblings and jumping off my trampoline into them,” McMullen said.

Whether your favorite Fall tradition is going to a pumpkin patch, making caramel apples, going to a haunted house, or staying in to watch a Halloween movie with your family, Fall is one of the most enjoyable times of the year.
